Hee! Now we know what happens to the cars that crash in Smallville. That seemed like a big junkyard for small town. But then cars don't last long there. As soon as Pete drove up, I knew his car wouldn't make it out unscathed.

While I understood Clark's decision in Asylum not to tell Lex what had happened at Belle Reve, I was glad to see him give Lex information he needed to protect himself from his father. In fact, if I recall correctly, he didn't even have to lie about how he got the info, but just said that that didn't matter. I'm sorry Chloe's dad got caught up in the crossfire, though. While I think Lex does remember enough to understand the stakes in the conflict with his father, I'm sorry to see him be so unconcerned about collateral damage. But at least he is trying to keep Clark safe. So far.

I think they will keep on this way for a while: Lex willing to do more and more questionable things to fight his father, but not putting Clark at risk. Until Clark can't overlook what Lex is doing and Lex has to cross Clark to fight Lionel.
