Last of the Time Lords

I had to wait until Sunday night to watch it, so the added anticipation made the disappointment that much stronger. I liked it somewhat more when I had a chance to rewatch with lower expectations. Jack was still criminally underused and there were an excessive number of unnecessary flashbacks, but the Master was fun.

The Doctor's godhood was a bit much and Jack's revelation felt rather forced (but I half hope we'll find out later that he had heard somewhen of the Face of Boe and was having a joke on them).

I'm not enthused about Catherine Tate returning next year. I found Donna quite abrasive and I don't know how much I could stomach. Martha on Torchwood could be good. Just as long as they don't pair her with Owen. She deserves much better.
