Is it just me or did tonight's episode seem really slow? It felt like they were dragging out some scenes (Clana in the barn, the last Lexana scene) to fill in the time. I also kept expecting Hydro girl to reappear since the collision with the car had only turned her back to water. I didn't see why that should have killed her.

I really hope Lana is truly done looking back. That is just getting too repetitious. I'm still expecting them to make the final rift over the death of the baby and, perhaps, Lana. Which is such a shame when they had more substantial, less cliched options.

My favorite part was Chloe's speech about people expecting her to keep their secrets but not anyone else's. I also liked the Clark as Green arrow scene, but I think it would have been funnier if she had critiqued his kissing instead of complimenting it.

They had an opportunity with this episode to make the point of respecting privacy and secrets. They could have played off Lois's claim that secrets were a form of lying, Hydro girl's invasions, and Lana's insistence that she be told everything, against Chloe's speech and the need to protect Oliver's identity for his protection. The pieces were there but they were all muddled and didn't carry across as a coherent theme.

But I guess missed opportunities is a given with Smallville.
