...the baby is part of you. At first, she can't survive without you. And then, more and more, she can. Until, finally, she can't survive with you--everything you try to do for her is wrong--so you just have to let go, and stand back, and let them make their own mistakes and realize, maybe, they aren't mistakes, they're just somebody else's life.
