Becoming Superman
As
This season, in Crusade and Transference, they introduced a set of Kryptonian artifacts, that lead to some store of knowledge. The common belief is that together they create the Fortress. What if AlMiles have completely given up on having Clark's journey be one of character growth? Or if they never intended it? What if it is just a treasure hunt? Find all the pieces, become a superhero. That certainly seems to be the the direction they are going.
What a disappointment!

Yeah, I think it's a Young Male Demographic thing. I was bitching to a guy of about 19/20 who works in our comic book store, about George Lucas' bad CGI edit to the previously wonderful Cantina scene where Han Solo shoots Greedo first. The young guy I was talking to *liked* the revision and said, "But Han is a good guy, he wouldn't shoot first! It was bad before! That's not who Han is, he'd never do that!" He wasn't yanking my chain, he really felt it was a necessary edit that Lucas had done. He'd seen all three films in the first trilogy and because of that, he *knew* Han was a good guy. The concept of character growth and change over time due to experiences you've had simply never occurred to him before I pointed it out to him!
Lucas is a big, stupid, honkin' 14 year old boy, the way he handles "romance" kinda gives that away. I wonder how the original Cantina scene made it into S'Wars in the first place. And I've always thought that AlMiles was a big, honkin' 14 year old *girl*, since the beginning of the show! ;)
